Catamount Mountain Resort Promotes Molly Goodrich to Director of Snowsports
Plans Underway for Continued Growth of Lesson Programs and Seasonal Instruction Options
Catamount Mountain Resort, South Egremont, MA (June 28, 2022) -- Catamount Mountain Resort is pleased
to announce that Molly Goodrich has been promoted to the role of Director of Snowsports, effective
immediately. Goodrich will manage a staff of over 150 instructors and administrative personnel in her
expanded role. Prior to the promotion, Molly has served as Catamount's Director of Youth Programs,
managing the summer children's camp, along with winter programs like Mountain Cats and season-long
programs such as Mountain Explorers and Adventurers. In Goodrich's expanded role, she'll manage all
programs, revenue, expenses, employee compensation, benefits, and administration of the Snowsports
Department at Catamount.
Goodrich has come full circle at the resort. "I actually learned to ski at Catamount at age 2, so the idea of being
able to return to my roots and combine my passion for snowsports with my experience in education is really
exciting," stated Molly. A native of the area, she earned a bachelor's degree from Siena College and her
Master's in Education from the College of St. Rose. Additionally, she's an industry veteran, having started out
at Butternut and Jiminy Peak in the 90's and worked as an instructor through college. In 2014, she returned to
Catamount with her three children, and by 2016 was back to work in Snowsports at the resort.
"Molly brings a great mix of positive attitude, willingness to take on new challenges, and extensive
background in both snowsports and education. She's both a natural leader and someone not afraid to dive in
and refine our programs for the future," commented Dave Kulis, Catamount's Assistant General Manager,
adding, "We really think that Molly is a perfect fit for our evolution and growth here at Catamount and know
that our Snowsports department is in great hands."
A mere two and a half hours north of New York City, Catamount Mountain Resort offers big mountain skiing,
close to home. With the purchase of the resort by the Schaefer family in 2018, Catamount is in the middle of a
renaissance that has opened the door to a new generation of resort guests and experiences. Boasting 43 trails
serviced by 9 lifts, the resort offers powerful snowmaking and grooming, equipment rental and repair, a full-
service snowsports school, lodging, on-mountain dining, a snowtubing park, night skiing, and much more.
Summer brings a range of activities including the Catamount Aerial Adventure Park and Zip tours featuring the
"Catamonster" – the longest zip line in the USA. A summer day camp, along with events and festivals, lodging
options, scenic wedding venues and live music round out the warm-weather months.
